Apple Bacon Butter

 

Ingredients

Apple Bacon Butter

 

10 LB Apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
1 1/3 cup White Sugar
1 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
4 TSP Cinnamon
1/4 TSP Ground Clove
1/4 TSP Ground Nutmeg
1 TBSP Vanilla
1 LB Stemmlers Apple Cinnamon Bacon
1 LB Stemmlers Montreal Smoked Bacon
1/4 CUP Stemmlers Smokin Good Sauce

 

Prep time 1 Hr Cook time 10 hrs

1. Cook Bacon on trays in oven until crispy then pat dry to remove fat. Set aside

 

2. Peel, core and chop apples and place in large bowl. Toss evenly with white sugar, brown

sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Put the mixture in a crock pot/slow cooker. Cover

and set on low for 7 hours.

 

3. In a food processor, add the bacon and pulse it so it turns into a crumble. Or if you are

feeling eager, hand chop it all to the same consistency.

 

4. After the 7 hours, add vanilla and stir together with the apples. Cook one more hour,

then with a hand immersion blender, puree the apple mixture right in the slow cooker.

Once it is smooth and without chunks, you can fold in the bacon, as well as the Smokin'

Good Sauce.

 

5. Cook one more hour and then its done. Let it rest for another hour to let it set.

 

6. Once its cooled down you can portion it all into whatever containers you are wanting to

store it in. It will sit for approximately 2 weeks in the fridge. It can be frozen as well for up

to 3 months.
