Our beef is Local, Ontario or Canadian raised. The cattle selected must be from genetically superior and healthy animals. They are fed a custom-made, vegetarian pellet ration designed to be fed with a whole-corn base which is the necessary roughage for healthy growth. The pellets are scientifically formulated to include essential vitamins and minerals (fed a minimum of 500 IU of vitamin E per head per day for at least 100 days before slaughter). This ration is made available to all the cattle by the preferred method of feeding: free choice, 24 hours a day. All cattle are placed in a well ventilated room that are bright to enhance individual animal health. Upon arrival for slaughter, cattle are offered free-choice water and feed and are kept in holding pens that are heavily bedded with clean straw. Cattle must arrive at the facility at least 15 hours prior to processing. This allows the cattle to relax, which results in a more tender beef product. The combination of all these techniques provides a positive energy for the cattle.

 

The beef is aged a "minimum" of 14-21 days before it is made available for sale by us.
